The AV Technician is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of audio-visual equipment for meetings, events, and hotel operations. The role ensures seamless technical support and high-quality presentation standards, contributing to a smooth and professional guest and event experience.
Set up, operate, and dismantle AV equipment for meetings, conferences, weddings, and events.
Manage audio, video, lighting, microphones, projectors, LED screens, and conferencing systems.
Provide on-site technical support during events to ensure smooth execution.
Conduct routine checks, testing, and basic maintenance of AV equipment.
Troubleshoot technical issues promptly and effectively.
Coordinate with Events, Banquets, IT, and Engineering teams to meet event requirements.
Ensure AV equipment is handled, stored, and transported safely.
Maintain accurate inventories and report equipment faults or replacement needs.
Follow hotel brand standards, safety guidelines, and service procedures.
Diploma or certification in Audio Visual Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
Previous experience as an AV Technician, preferably in a hotel, events, or conference environment.
Strong knowledge of sound systems, projection, lighting, and video equipment.
Basic understanding of networking and conferencing platforms is an advantage.
Good communication and customer service skills.
