AV Technician

The AV Technician is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of audio-visual equipment for meetings, events, and hotel operations. The role ensures seamless technical support and high-quality presentation standards, contributing to a smooth and professional guest and event experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and dismantle AV equipment for meetings, conferences, weddings, and events.

• Manage audio, video, lighting, microphones, projectors, LED screens, and conferencing systems.

• Provide on-site technical support during events to ensure smooth execution.

• Conduct routine checks, testing, and basic maintenance of AV equipment.

• Troubleshoot technical issues promptly and effectively.

• Coordinate with Events, Banquets, IT, and Engineering teams to meet event requirements.

• Ensure AV equipment is handled, stored, and transported safely.

• Maintain accurate inventories and report equipment faults or replacement needs.

• Follow hotel brand standards, safety guidelines, and service procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or certification in Audio Visual Technology, Electronics, or a related field.

• Previous experience as an AV Technician, preferably in a hotel, events, or conference environment.

• Strong knowledge of sound systems, projection, lighting, and video equipment.

• Basic understanding of networking and conferencing platforms is an advantage.

• Good communication and customer service skills.

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
