Start-up Growth Manager

Adecco is an International HR and Consultancy firm. Our client, forming part of a major local group, is looking for a Start-up Growth Manager.

 

The successful candidate who is passionate about growing and supporting the entrepreneurial space in Mauritius should be charismatic, approachable, open-minded and demonstrate chairperson-style leadership characterized by a skill at synthetizing views.
 
Responsibilities:

  • To iterate, communicate and implement the company's vision and mission.
  • To drive the company culture.
  • To formulating and implement a strategic plan of the company's activities.
  • To oversee the overall operations of the company as per strategic plan.
  • To lead the body of employees, especially the Company's Manager.
  • To manage the team of business coaches.
  • To establish partnerships with public and private sector entities.
  • To raise funds to support the company's operations.
  • To represent the company's in civic or professional association responsibilities
  • To report to the Board of Directors.
  • To maintain awareness of competitive landscape, opportunities and global best practices in incubation and entrepreneurship in general.

Qualifications:

  • MBA or other post-graduate qualifications is an advantage.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience in heading own business/company especially in Mauritius would be of a great advantage.
  • Proven skills in business and financial management.

Candidate profile:

  • Ability to cope with conflict, stress and crisis situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to network within the business community.
  • Demonstrate accessibility to various recruitment channels.
  • Quick but cognitive thinker and decision maker.  
  • Good leadership and Management skills, Business communications skills and problem solving skills.
  • Exceptional facilitation, persuasion, and partnership development skills.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office tools (incl. Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
