English Speaking Maid

We are seeking a reliable and experienced full-time Maid to work at two private residences in the north of Mauritius.

Work Locations

• 3 days per week – Duraty Forest, The Vale
• 2 days per week – Mont Choisy

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day cleanliness, organisation, and general upkeep of the household, including but not limited to:

• Thorough cleaning of all areas of the home, including:
  • Bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, living and dining areas
  • Floors (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming)
  • Dusting furniture, surfaces, and fixtures
  • Cleaning windows, mirrors, and appliances
• Laundry management:
  • Washing clothes (machine and hand washing where required)
  • Ironing and folding clothes neatly
  • Proper care of delicate fabrics and household linens
• Changing bed linen and making beds
• Maintaining cleanliness of kitchens and bathrooms, including sanitising surfaces
• Ensuring cleaning equipment and supplies are used correctly and stored properly
• Identifying areas needing extra attention and taking initiative without supervision
• Maintaining a high standard of hygiene, organisation, and presentation at all times

Requirements

• Fluent spoken English (essential)
• Proven experience as a maid or house cleaner
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks without constant supervision
• Trustworthy, discreet, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Physically fit and able to carry out household cleaning duties
