Housekeeping Supervisor

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will support the Housekeeping Department by ensuring the upkeep and cleanliness of the entire hotel.

Essential Functions:

• Oversee staff by conducting daily walk through, inspecting staff work and giving guidance and direction so that deficiencies are corrected and standards are met. Visually and physically inspect 20 guestrooms on during morning (Arrivals & Occupied) and turndown services daily, VIP rooms. Responsible for high standard of cleanliness and condition of rooms / bathroom, lobbies, pantries, stairs and corridors for cleanliness and appearance.
• Train staff in the procedures and techniques to use to appropriately and adequately clean and maintain the hotel cleanliness. Additional training to include detailed instructions on the usage of chemicals.
• Complete and process work tickets and ensure completion of repairs by the property operations department.
• Coach, counsel and discipline staff, when appropriate, to ensure standards are being met.
• Ensure Company Standards, Health / Safety & Security and Crisis Procedures are being followed at all times
• Follow up on Daily, Weekly, Fortnightly, Monthly, Quarterly, Annually & Bi – Annually tasks and deep cleaning program.
• Responsible for updating records of checklists, Room Inspection Calendars, Log Books and Control sheets
• Follow up on all instructions according to CRM, Daily Reports: HSK Ops Report, Duty Reports, Service Recovery, Coordinators’ Handing Over book, Communication Book and HSK Tasks Schedule

• Fully Accountable for in respective section:  

  Condition of room and extra amenities

  Inventories of Rooms, Extra Amenities, Terrace Furniture, Cleaning Equipment and Materials

  Guest concerns, SALT comments, guest requests

EDUCATION

Higher School Certificate

EXPERIENCE

Previous experience preferred. Minimum supervisory experience or one year of comparable housekeeping experience preferred.
