The HVAC Technician (Team Lead) is responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and repair of all air conditioning units across Courts Mammouth branches, offices, factories and warehouses. He will ensure the proper functioning of all AC systems, assist in managing spare parts inventory, maintain documentation, and lead a team of technicians. The role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and leadership to ensure efficient AC operations while maintaining compliance with safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform servicing and cleaning of all AC units, including filters, coils, and condensers.
- Diagnose and repair faulty AC units, including split, cassette, and centralized air conditioning systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance as per the established maintenance schedule across all branches.
- Inspect and test system operations, identifying faults and carrying out necessary repairs.
- Installation and commissioning of new AC units.
- Dismantle faulty AC units to recover usable spare parts for stock.
- Assist the admin team in maintaining an updated inventory of spare parts and tools required for AC maintenance.
- Coordinate with the procurement team for the purchase of required spare parts.
- Fill in checklists, intervention sheets, and schedules for tracking the status of all AC units.
- Provide weekly reports on maintenance activities, repairs, and identified issues.
- Ensure all maintenance tasks comply with safety regulations and company guidelines.
- Supervise and guide junior AC technicians in performing their duties efficiently.
- Ensure maintenance tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Provide training and knowledge-sharing sessions for the team.
- Work closely with the Electrical Engineer to ensure smooth execution of AC-related tasks.
- Coordinate with branch managers to schedule maintenance visits with minimal disruption.
- Attend urgent breakdown calls and ensure rapid resolution of issues.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum NC3 Certification in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, or HVAC Systems.
- 3–5 years of experience in AC installation, maintenance and repair.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge of different AC systems, including split, cassette and ceiling types. Knowledge of Centralised systems will be a definite advantage.
- Leadership skills and ability to manage a small team.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Valid driver’s license (Mandatory).
