The Stewarding Associate is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of all kitchen and food preparation areas.
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas.
Operate dishwashing machines and ensure proper chemical usage.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchens, back-of-house areas, stores, and waste disposal areas.
Support kitchen staff with basic cleaning and preparation tasks when required.
Ensure proper segregation and disposal of garbage and recyclables.
Handle and store cleaning chemicals safely and according to procedures.
Maintain floor cleanliness, including mopping and scrubbing.
Assist with receiving, moving, and storing supplies and equipment.
Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, and workplace safety standards.
Report breakages, maintenance issues, and safety hazards to the supervisor.
Follow daily and periodic deep-cleaning schedules.
Previous experience in stewarding or kitchen support preferred.
Basic knowledge of hygiene and sanitation standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Physically fit and able to stand for long hours and lift heavy items.
Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
Team player with a positive attitude.
