Workshop Service Engineer

Overview

Our client, a reputable company operating in the construction sector, is seeking a competent and hands-on Workshop Service Engineer to oversee the maintenance, servicing, and operational readiness of plant and equipment. The successful candidate will ensure that all machinery remains safe, reliable, and fit for use, while supervising a small workshop team.

Working Days & Hours

• Monday to Friday
• 07:00 – 17:00

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the availability and operational readiness of all plant and equipment (“fit for use”).
• Monitor and assess the technical condition of machinery and equipment.
• Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and oversee repairs to minimize downtime.
• Supervise and guide a team of 3 workshop staff to ensure productivity and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate service records and maintenance reports.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Liaise with suppliers for spare parts procurement and technical support when required.
• Recommend improvements to enhance equipment efficiency and lifespan.
