Our client is looking for a Workshop and After Sales Manager
Objective - Monitor, manage and support the workshop team
Duties
• Prepare daily/weekly planning of interventions
• Attend to clients’ calls 24/7 for repairs, maintenance or breakdown
• Ensure customer satisfaction and that all vehicles leaving the workshop after any intervention are delivered in good running conditions.
• Regularly site visits of equipment sold by the Company
• Onsite visits upon intervention of the technical team
• Responsible for fleet of vehicles of the Company i.e. maintenance, repairs, renewal of insurance, road tax, fitness, registration of vehicles, among others.
• Responsible for registration of newly imported vehicles with the National Land Transport Authority, Registrar General, Fitness Centres and Insurers
• Responsible, under the supervision of the Parts Manager, of workshop consumable stock management i.e.:
• Prepare reports at the demand of the management
• Maintain proper records of interventions made or any other information in relation to the workshop
• Work out the yearly budget of the workshop
• Provide technical assistance to technicians whenever required
Qualifications and Experience
Min 5 years experience in heavy mechanics (trucks, tractors, and construction equipment)
NC 4 in tractor and heavy vehicle mechanics
Conversant with Microsoft office tools
Degree or diploma in heavy equipment mechanic or any equivalent will be an advantage
Able to prepare and write mechanical reports
Ready to be on call 24/7
Ability to work odd hours, on weekends and public holidays whenever required
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Fluent in French and English
