Lorry Driver Grade 2 (Heavy Vehicle 5 Tons)

Job Purpose: To safely and efficiently operate heavy goods vehicles (HGV) for transporting goods over short and long distances, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with all road safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

· Operate and maintain lorries with a capacity of over 5 tons.

· Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of goods.

· Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.

· Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues.

· Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.

· Comply with traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies.

· Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status.

Qualifications & Skills:

· Valid heavy vehicle driver’s license (appropriate class for >5 tons).

· Minimum 5 years of experience driving heavy vehicles.

· Knowledge of road safety regulations and vehicle maintenance.

· Ability to handle flexible schedules.

· Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

· Physical fitness for loading/unloading tasks.
