Aquatics Supervisor

The Aquatics Supervisor will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and will help members improve their swimming in our state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools, both indoors and out. Manage, train and support all Aquatic team.

SPARC, a subsidiary of Casela Ltd, is the largest multisport complex on Mauritius’ idyllic west coast. Located in the heart of Uniciti smart city, it provides a wide range of health, fitness, sports and leisure experiences. 

We are currently looking for an Aquatics Supervisor

DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES:

• Be responsible for the operation of the swim team including organizing, completing assigned tasks, communicating with parents, and working with swimmers in respect of Swimming Club/Academy
  
• Responsible for administering all swim team operations of daily workouts, team communication, and supervision of assistant coaches in respect of swimming clubs
  
• Attend all swim team functions, including but not limited to practices, meets, and coach/parent meetings
  
• Help teach and coach people of all ages and abilities to develop swimming skills, technique and confidence in the water
  
• Responsible for the entire program for this sport for swimming clubs
  
• Communicates with the Sports Manager about players, needs, incidents, and anything concerning the program
  
• Build a schedule for the competitive season
  
• Maintains working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members
  
• Maintain documentation of in-service training, accident reports, lifeguard certifications, incident reports, maintenance records, and pool tests
  
• Responsible for school swimming programs as and when needed and ensure the increase of school programs as per targets set with Sport Manager
  
• Oversee and manage the bookings for the pool
  
• Organise and implement dry-land training programs
  
• Prepare training programs for initiation and other swimming course and also intensive holiday programs
  
• Conduct instruction evaluations and coach instructors
• Prepare Roster for the Swimming Team and manage their attendance in an effective way
• Manage other part-time and casual assistant coaches
