Overview of the Role 🔍
Support the Front Office Executive in managing daily front office operations and act as Duty Manager on a rotational basis to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities 📋
• Assist the Front Office Executive in recruiting, appraising, and developing Front Office team members.
• Conduct on-the-job training and support succession planning to maintain performance standards.
• Recommend promotions and personnel actions; collaborate with HR to implement departmental training plans.
• Motivate, supervise, and evaluate the Front Office team to ensure high standards of service delivery.
• Handle guest complaints and ensure prompt follow-up actions; welcome VIPs and support guest relationship initiatives.
• Coordinate daily departmental activities to ensure smooth operations and high guest satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain effective employee relations and monitor team performance, punctuality, and attendance.
• Prepare and manage the Front Office duty roster, ensuring legal compliance and full coverage.
• Monitor annual leave planning and control absenteeism through corrective measures.
• Participate in the preparation and monthly follow-up of departmental budgets and forecasts (CAPEX & OPEX).
• Monitor and control inventories of Front Office equipment and supplies.
• Plan room allocations in coordination with the Central Reservations Office (CRO) and adjust as necessary.
• Ensure SOPs, quality procedures, and hygiene standards are followed across all Front Office areas.
• Regularly inspect team grooming, guest arrival/departure processes, and billing accuracy.
• Uphold all safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in line with health and safety regulations.
• Comply with all the sustainability commitments and practices implemented within business units.
• Notify the Sustainable Development Department of any matters that may pose any impact to the environment and society.
Ideal Candidate Profile 🎯
• Diploma or Degree in Hospitality or Front Office Operations.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in hotel Front Office, including 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Proficient in hotel systems (e.g. Opera, WINHMS) and Microsoft Office.
• Fluent in English and French; a third language is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, guest service, and complaint-handling skills.
• Knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, and team performance management.
