The Driver / Messenger is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and timely transportation services for company staff, clients, and goods.

 

The role involves operating company vehicles, maintaining the assigned vehicle in excellent working condition, ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with traffic regulations, providing courteous service to clients or internal departments and representing the company with professionalism and integrity at all times.


Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and responsibly operate company vehicle to deliver and collect documents, parcels, and other items.
  • Safely drive company employees, clients, and visitors to and from designated locations including appointments, meetings, events, and errands.
  • Plan daily routes and schedules to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
  • Run errands such as picking up dry cleaning, groceries, or other personal tasks as requested.
  • Ensure timely delivery and verify delivery details, obtain signatures, and maintain proper documentation (delivery notes, receipts, logs, etc.).
  • Handle packages with care and ensure secure transportation of sensitive or confidential materials.
  • Conduct regular checks (pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections) on vehicle condition — fuel, oil, water, tires, brakes, lights, etc.
  • Maintain delivery logs, keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and travel logs in log book and handover receipts.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness (interior and exterior) at all times.
  • Ensure the vehicle is fully fuelled and stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., water, tissues, etc.).
  • Report any mechanical issues, accidents, or damages to management immediately.
  • Ensure that all vehicle documents (registration, insurance, roadworthiness, etc.) are up to date.
  • Assist with loading and unloading personal items or packages as when required.
  • Follow all traffic laws, road signs, route plans, and company transport/driving policies.
  • Assist with general office support tasks when needed (filing, organizing documents, etc.) when required.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate professionally with clients and colleagues.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times. 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum of High School Certificate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of professional driving experience, as a driver/messenger or in a similar role.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Experience with luxury or high-end vehicles.
  • Ability to navigate using maps, GPS, and route-planning tools.
  • Good knowledge of traffic laws, local and regional routes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in [English / French].
  • Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, punctuality and customer service.
  • Neat personal appearance and courteous attitude.
  • Basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting knowledge.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong time management, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Working Conditions

  • Primarily field-based with frequent driving.
  • May require early mornings, late afternoons, weekends, public holidays and overtime depending on business needs.
  • Combination of office, road, and field environments - both indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Extended periods of driving and occasional loading/unloading and lifting of items.
  • Available to join immediately.
