MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcome guest and give information and advice on entertainment activities.
  • Converse with guest to obtain feedback and suggestions for improvement.
  • Offer solutions to guests’ requests and complaints.
  • Actively invite guests to participate in various entertainment activities.
  • Carry out the weekly sport and leisure / entertainment program.
  • Suggest solutions to all sport / evening entertainment operating problems.
  • Organize and provide services for guest at the sports / fitness centre according to hotel standards and procedures.
  • Maintain effective and cordial guest relations and advise guests on programs, equipment and safety issues to achieve service excellence.
  • Be in charge of the opening and closing of the sports and any other access at the Sports Centre area, as per established operating time.
  • Test and verify all equipment of the sports to ensure their proper functioning.
  • Ensure that all the multimedia system and instrument regarding the band are in good and functioning condition.
  • Ensure fine tuning before the band starts playing.
  • Ensure “mise en place” of all multimedia system / music for any special events.
  • Consult with immediate superior about organizational aspects of special events being planned.
  • Possess mobility, strength, and stamina to perform physical work for extended periods of time.
  • Work activities may require standing, walking on uneven and slippery surfaces, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, grasping, and making repetitive hand movement in the performance of daily duties.
  • Adhere to resort SOPs.
  • Assist in any other tasks that may be assigned to ensure that all standards of the resort are met to enhance guest’s and team members satisfaction, safety and security in all fields.
  • Coordinate and communicate to other departments for the smooth running of the operation.
  • Attend all meetings assigned by the Ops Manager.
  • Participate in training as and when requested by Management.
  • Any other cognate duties may be assigned.

CRITERIA

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a resort.
  • Certifications related to Recreation and Kids Club (e.g: First Aid).
  • Familiarity with hospitality industry standards.
  • Knowledge of basic health & safety methods/standards.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and French, additional languages will be an advantage.
  • Commitment to delivering high level of customer service.
  • Ability to train and develop islanders’ skills and knowledge.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills.
  • Must be able to perform multitask effectively.
  • Excellent knowledge in computing and MS Office.
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated and goal-driven.
  • Outstanding communication abilities.
  • Enthusiastic, friendly and self-motivated personality eager to learn, develop and be part of a growing team.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
