Agriterra is seeking a motivated Irrigation Maintenance & Repairs Officer to support its operations in ensuring efficient repair, maintenance & improvement of irrigation systems.
Agriterra is seeking a motivated Irrigation Maintenance & Repairs Officer to support its operations in ensuring efficient repair, maintenance & improvement of irrigation systems.
Key responsibilities:
- Supervise daily repair and maintenance work on irrigation systems and water networks.
- Ensure safe, timely, and quality execution of tasks.
- Conduct site inspections and support technical problem-solving.
- Lead and guide teams on site, ensuring adherence to procedures.
- Manage irrigation inventory and support audits and reporting.
- Assist in implementing water and energy efficient irrigation strategies.
Candidate Profile:
- Mechanical or civil engineering background.
- Valid car license.
- Good understanding of pipe networks, pumps, and irrigation systems.
- Good knowledge of welding and ability to oversee welding-related tasks.
- Experience leading teams and pipe-laying projects.
- Proactive, solutions-oriented, and a strong team player.
- High level of integrity.
- Basic electrical knowledge.
- Relevant experience in plumbing and repair works, ideally with exposure to irrigation systems.
- Organized, structured, and committed to quality.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
