AIR IMPORT SUPERVISOR

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Air Import Supervisor to support the Business Head in managing daily operations. This role involves overseeing air import activities, ensuring service efficiency, competitive rates and increasing customer satisfaction. Strong leadership, strong communication skills, team spirit and market and technical knowledge are key to success in this position.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the Business Head in overseeing the daily operations and activities of the air Import department
• Ensure prompt and professional response to all customer needs, inquiries, and service requests
• Identify and promote new business opportunities and sales prospects for airfreight services
• Stay updated on industry best practices, market trends, and competitor activities
• Support in the preparation and submission of the departmental budget within specified deadlines
• Participate in monthly meetings to review departmental performance, profitability, and productivity
• Implement action plans and recommendations to improve customer retention and quality service
• Foster and maintain a positive, collaborative and supportive working relationship with all team members
• Assist the Business Head in achieving departmental goals, KPIs, and strategic objectives
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Carry out any other related duties as assigned by management in line with operational needs

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Freight Forwarding, Shipping & Logistics or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role within the freight forwarding or logistics industry
• Solid experience and understanding of airfreight operations and procedures
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Strong technical knowledge of the freight forwarding market, trends, and customer expectations
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, French and Creole  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team in a fast-paced environment
• Valid and clean driving license
