Aberdeen Services SA founded in 2012 with an international presence on over 7 countries is looking for experienced young professionals to embrace a career in its IT Infrastructure, DR and Quality department.

 

Responsibilities 
 
System Administration and Maintenance: 

  •  Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems, servers, and network infrastructure. 
  • Ensure systems are up-to-date with the latest patches and security updates. 

  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise. 

Infrastructure planning and design 

  •  Develop and implement infrastructure strategies to support the organization’s goals and objectives. 
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve efficiency and performance. 

 Backup and disaster recovery 

  •  Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans. 
  • Ensure regular backups are performed and data integrity is maintained. 

  • Test disaster recovery plans periodically and make necessary adjustments. 

 Automation and scripting 

  •  Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline system administration tasks. 
  • Implement automated monitoring and alerting systems to ensure system reliability. 

 Collaboration and Support 

  • Work closely with other IT teams and departments to ensure seamless integration of systems and applications. 

  • Provide advanced technical support and mentorship to junior administrators and other IT staff. 
     

Documentation and Compliance 

  • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures. 

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies. 
     

Performance Monitoring and Optimization 

  • Continuouslymonitor system performance and identify areas for improvement. 

  • Optimize system configurations for maximum efficiency and reliability. 
     

Capacity planning 

  • Assess current infrastructure capacity and plan for future growth. 

  • Ensure scalability of systems to meet the evolving needs of the organization. 

 Incident Response 

  • Lead incident response efforts for infrastructure-related issues. 

  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. 
     

User training and education 

  • Develop and conduct training sessions for staff on infrastructure-related topics. 

  • Promote best practices and ensure users are informed about security and system usage policies 
     

 Qualifications 

 
Required Skills, Certifications and Experience 

  • At least 3years experience  in a similarrole 
  • You have a soliddegreein IT 
  • VMWare Certified, (VCP-DCV) is mandatory 
  • Microsoft Windows / Linuxadministration is mandatory. 
  • Veeam Certification would be a plus 
  • Ability to work under pressure and to multi-task 
  • Proactive, Self-motivated, and determined attitude 
  • Good interpersonal, team bonding and leadership skills. 
  • Should be able to travel when required. 
  • Good French and English speaking and writing skills required. 
  • Experience in virtualization and advanced infrastructure management 
  • Good knowledge of networking required (VLANs, DHCP, DNS, VPN) 
  • Broad knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server roles will be a plus.
