Assistant Accountant

The Assistant Accountant supports the financial operations of the department by performing administrative, clerical and accounting tasks.

 

Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Managing accounts receivable from end to end
  • Managing accounts payable from end to end
  • Managing cash books with bank reconciliation
  • Assisting with intercompany confirmations
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Maintaining fixed asset register
  • Supporting audit and compliance processes

 Essential Requirements:

  • Studying towards an ACCA Certification (or equivalent professional accounting qualification)
  • A minimum of 2-3 years’ accounting experience
  • Computer literacy with demonstrated proficiency in an Accounting Package and Microsoft programmes including advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, which includes fluency in English
  • Proven ability to produce accurate work, paying a high level of attention to detail and formatting
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of Sage Evolution and Microsoft Dynamics would be an advantage.
