Driver & Messenger

Horizon Holidays Ltd is hiring an experienced driver who will be responsible for transporting personnel, delivering packages, documents, and other items efficiently and safely.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Transport workers from designated pick-up points to sites and back according to the schedule.
• Ensure all passengers are seated safely before moving the vehicle.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle and conduct daily basic checks (oil, water, tyre pressure, fuel, etc.).
• Report any mechanical issues or accidents immediately to the supervisor.
• Keep an updated log of mileage, trips, and fuel consumption.
• Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and company safety procedures.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials if required.
• Adapt routes in case of road closures or delays, ensuring workers arrive on time.
• Deliver important documents to required destinations.
• Ensure that all deliveries have been signed and delivered to the correct recipient.
• Office Despatch/Duties - Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including recipient signatures and delivery times
• Communicate effectively with clients and coworkers to coordinate delivery schedules and address any concerns or issues. 
• Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity. 
• Other cognate duties as may be assigned by Management.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have a valid Bus driving licence.
• Always maintain a respectful and courteous demeanor.
• A valid Certificate of Character
• Name of at least one reference.
• Experience in this field, an advantage.
• Being in the tourism industry, candidates should have a very flexible approach to their working hours and be able to work under pressure.
• Punctual, reliable, and safety conscious.
• Physically fit.
• Should reside in the vicinity of the upper Plaine Wilhems.
