We are looking for a SEO Coordinator to join our Online Development based at our Head Office in Mapou.

 

Overview of the role:

The SEO Coordinator is responsible for implementing on-page, technical, and content optimisations for AI-driven search engines. Manage metadata, schema markup, and Core Web Vitals. Conduct keyword mapping, audits, and backlink strategies. Collaborate with teams to align SEO best practices. Track rankings, visibility, and conversions while staying updated on algorithms and AI search trends.
- This position will be based in Mapou.
Main Responsibilities:
  •  Assist SEO Specialist in executing tactical initiatives to improve search visibility across Google AI Overviews, Bing Copilot, and emerging engines.                                                                                                
  • Maintain and update meta titles, descriptions, headings, canonical tags, and internal linking structures to support optimised search engine visibility.                                                                                                     
  • Collaborate with developers to improve Core Web Vitals, validate structured data, and enhance mobile-first website performance.                                                                                              
  • Implement and validate schema markup (JSON-LD) to enhance structured data presence, AI snippet inclusion, and semantic understanding.                                                                                         
  • Manage robots.txt directives and XML sitemaps to ensure effective crawlability, proper indexation, and improved technical SEO compliance.                                                                                          
  • Conduct keyword mapping and optimise landing pages and blog content for targeted search queries and semantic search intent coverage.                                                                                          
  • Align optimised content with E-E-A-T principles, ensuring authority, expertise, trustworthiness, and readiness for AI-driven summarisation.                                                                                           
  • Assist in structuring and formatting content to improve inclusion in AI-generated answers and conversational search results.                                                                                             
  • Perform backlink audits and identify outreach opportunities to strengthen site authority with high-quality, contextually relevant external links.                                                                                         
  • Support digital PR and brand mention initiatives to build topical authority and improve domain trust signals.                                                                                             
  • Monitor and report on organic sessions, rankings, AI Overview citations, Bing Copilot inclusions, CTRs, and conversion performance.                                                                                                     
  • Analyse data from GA4, Search Console, and third-party SEO tools to surface actionable optimisation insights.                                                                                            
  • Conduct technical SEO audits to identify crawl errors, broken links, duplicate content, and potential indexation barriers.                                                                                                    
  • Provide audit recommendations to the SEO Specialist for prioritisation, implementation, and ongoing refinement of SEO strategy.                                                                                                    
  • Stay current with algorithm updates, AI developments, and SEO technologies to anticipate changes and adjust tactics.                                                                                          
  • Communicate relevant industry updates and performance insights with the SEO Specialist and wider marketing team.                                                                                           
  • Coordinate with content, design, and development teams to implement SEO best practices across campaigns and digital assets.                                                                                                      
  • Optimise and manage Google Business Profiles to improve local SEO performance, visibility, and engagement across key locations.                                                                                                     
  • Assist with SEO initiatives designed to generate qualified leads, improve conversions, and directly support revenue growth.                                                                                            
  • Maintain documentation of SEO processes, findings, and actions to ensure transparency, efficiency, and knowledge sharing across the team.                                                                   
Candidate's Profile:
  • Degree in marketing, communications, computer science, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Proficiency with SEO toolsets: Google Search Console, GA4, Google Page Speed, GTMetrix, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Microsoft Clarity, Bing Webmaster Tools or similar
  • Minimum 2 years of practical SEO experience, ideally in an in-house or agency environment
  • High attention to detail and strong solutions focus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of collaborating across technical and non-technical teams
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies
