Maintain, repair, install and test equipment and systems throughout the facility to ensure safe and proper operation. Inspects equipment and systems to identify hazards and defects and takes immediate corrective/preventive actions to ensure the highest level of safety at the hotel.

 

Essential Functions:

Attends to Guests’ needs and requests

-          Responds to Guests’ requests throughout the facility to make the necessary repairs and interventions; including the use of work tracking software and devices.

-          Accommodates Guests’ needs in a timely and courteous manner.

-          Ensure that guest requests are followed and feedbacks of completed works recorded.

-          Assist for banqueting events set ups where required.

Carries out preventive maintenance

-          Performs preventive maintenance and tests diverse systems, subsystems and equipment including disassembly, replacement, cleaning, and repair.

-          Inspects equipment and installations for diagnosis and troubleshooting.

-          Keeps log/check sheet of the maintenance done for audit purposes.

Repairs and troubleshoots

-          Identifies malfunctioning equipment and hazards using a variety of testing devices.

-          Repairs, maintains and troubleshoots equipment in accordance with diagrams, schematics, operations manuals and manufacturers’ maintenance instructions. Use of equipment such as, but not limited to, hand and power tools are required to perform the functions of the position.

Repairs and replaces items, fixtures & equipment

-          Maintains all fixtures throughout the facility by replacing items and/or making necessary repairs/replacements to the fixtures on a routine and regular basis to sustain Hilton’s worldwide 5* standards.

 

Specialised Functions.

 

  • Will be required to Interprets blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials.
  • Maintains all water fixtures, plumbing equipment and water features throughout the facility.
  • Will be required to perform installation, interventions, troubleshooting’s and preventive maintenance on, Plumbing systems and diverse plumbing equipment.
  • Installs pipes and fixtures, such as sinks and sanitation systems, for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids.
  • Installs supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures prior to installation.
  • Assembles fittings and valves for installation.
  • Modifies length of pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing materials as needed for a building
  • Uses saws, pipe cutters & as necessary.
  • Installs heating and air-conditioning systems, including water heaters.
  • Collaborates with contractors, construction workers, electricians, pipefitters, and steamfitters in installing and repairing plumbing.
  • Tests plumbing systems for leaks and other problems.
  • Analyses problem and identifies appropriate tools and materials for repair.
  • Follows health and safety standards and complies with building codes.
  • Writes report documenting the problem and summary of actions taken.
  • Performs inspections of plumbing systems to identify and replace worn parts.
  • Perform Emergency repairs.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

EDUCATION

School Certificate or equivalent preferred

Certificate or Diploma from a technical school or from any other recognised institution
