To efficiently manage the sourcing, purchasing, and importation of goods from international suppliers whilst ensuring timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with all import regulations and company policies.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To prepare and keep track of purchase orders of the company.
- To work with suppliers to determine the best deals for the company and evaluate pros and cons of each based on price, quality, speed of delivery and other factors.
- To keep track of deliveries from supplier to recipient.
- To assist the Procurement Manager and Procurement Executive on all procurement issues.
- To develop professional relations and work in partnership with abroad suppliers in the field of procurement.
- To assist in the evaluation of Suppliers’ performance.
- To liaise with local authorities with regards to importation of products.
- To process claims as and when required.
- To perform data capture on SAGE Pastel.
- To assist in sourcing products all year round and selecting the best method of transportation – Air Freight or Sea Freight.
- To perform any other cognate duties as may be required by Management.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- HSC or Diploma in supply chain management would be an advantage.
- Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of Procurement Import.
- Meticulous & Attention to details
- Well versed with MS Office (Microsoft Excel)
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with tact, diplomacy, and high ethical standards
- Bilingual English & French oral and written are mandatory.
