About the Role

As an Operations Executive at Inchcape Shipping Services, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient vessel port calls. From planning and execution to communication and compliance, you’ll be the main link between ships, local authorities, and service providers—delivering top-notch port agency services that meet the highest standards.

What You’ll Do

• Coordinate and manage port calls from start to finish, ensuring everything runs smoothly, cost-effectively, and on schedule.
• Serve as the main point of contact for principals and shipmasters, providing clear and timely updates throughout the process.
• Handle all necessary regulatory declarations and make sure operations comply with local laws, port rules, and ISS procedures.
• Attend vessels or port facilities to supervise services and support deliveries as needed.
• Oversee crew changes, hotel bookings, immigration formalities, transport, medical needs, and more.
• Use internal and external platforms (like Optic LPA, MACCS, billing systems) to manage tasks and reporting.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customs, immigration, vendors, port authorities, and other stakeholders.
• Support the operations team in documentation, planning, and problem-solving.
• Complete all required training and follow HSSE and compliance guidelines at all times.

What You’ll Bring

• At least 1 year of experience in port agency or maritime operations
• Good knowledge of local regulations and port/immigration procedures
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• Computer literacy (MS Office, Outlook) and the ability to quickly learn new systems
• A professional, proactive, and detail-oriented mindset
• Valid driving license (essential); non-smoker (preferred)

Education

• Minimum: O-Level
• Preferred: A-Level or Diploma in Marine Studies
