Position Overview

The Foreman is responsible for overseeing daily on-site operations and supervising workers to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards and timelines. Acting as a key link between management and the workforce, the Foreman ensures smooth coordination of tasks, effective communication, and compliance with company policies and safety regulations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers, tradesmen, and subcontractors on site

  • Assign daily tasks and monitor productivity to ensure targets and deadlines are met

  • Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and company regulations

  • Monitor work quality and ensure adherence to project specifications and standards

  • Identify and resolve operational issues, delays, or conflicts on site

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and work schedules

  • Plan material requirements and coordinate ordering of materials when necessary

  • Manage tools, machinery, and equipment to ensure proper usage and maintenance

  • Train, guide, and mentor team members to improve performance and skills

  • Report project progress, incidents, material shortages, and manpower needs to management

  • Enforce discipline and maintain a professional, productive, and safe work environment


Requirements & Skills

  • Proven experience as a Foreman or in a similar supervisory role

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Good knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Effective time management and organizational abilities

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Physical stamina and willingness to work on-site as required


Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Technical certification in a relevant trade is an advantage

  • Several years of hands-on experience in the relevant trade, construction, or industry sector


Working Conditions

  • Primarily site-based work environment

  • May require long hours, shift work, weekend work, or outdoor work depending on project requirements

  • Exposure to varying weather conditions and operational site risks
