We are seeking a highly competent and proactive Accountant with a strong background in the manufacturing sector, particularly in sofa and furniture production. The ideal candidate must be fully conversant with Odoo ERP and capable of managing the entire accounting function, from transaction recording to the preparation of complete financial statements. Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, manage, and maintain the full accounting function within the company.
• Record and reconcile all day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
• Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure timely preparation of monthly management accounts, trial balances, and financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Handle inventory costing, stock movements, work-in-progress valuations, and ensure accurate cost allocations in line with manufacturing activities.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable cycles efficiently, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Monitor and manage fixed assets register and depreciation schedules.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, tax filings, and audits.
• Work closely with operational teams to provide financial insights and support production costing analysis.
• Optimize the use of Odoo ERP for accounting, inventory, and reporting functions.
• Identify process improvements and support the implementation of best accounting practices within the business.

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment (preferably sofa/furniture sector).
• Proficiency in Odoo ERP is desirable.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing cost accounting, inventory control, and financial reporting.
• Proven ability to handle full set of accounts and financial statements independently.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Attributes:

• Experience setting up accounting processes in a new or growing manufacturing setup.
• Familiarity with production costing models and process costing methodologies.
