The Finance Lead is responsible for overseeing the company’s financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and compliance. This role ensures effective financial management by monitoring cash flow, preparing accurate financial statements, and providing strategic insights to support business decisions. T
Supervise and review the work of Finance Officers and Administrators to ensure accuracy
and completeness.
Consolidate financial information across departments/entities into a single, coherent reporting
pack.
Ensure that all supporting schedules, reconciliations, and ledgers are aligned with Group
reporting requirements.
2. Transaction Review & Control
Oversee the accuracy of daily financial transactions, ensuring they are properly recorded in
the system.
Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard financial data and ensure compliance
with company policies.
3. Accounts Payable & Receivable Management
Review reconciliations and reports prepared by officers to ensure vendor and customer
accounts are accurate and up to date.
Monitor outstanding receivables and payables, escalating risks and discrepancies to the Head
of Finance.
4. Bank & Balance Sheet Reconciliations
Supervise and validate monthly bank reconciliations and other key control accounts.
Resolve complex discrepancies and ensure that reconciliations are complete, accurate, and
timely.
5. Expense & Budgetary Control
Oversee expense monitoring to ensure adherence to budgetary limits.
Consolidate variance analyses prepared by officers and provide commentary for management
review.
Support the Head of Finance in budget planning and forecasting exercises.
6. Audit & Compliance Support
Lead preparation for internal and external audits by consolidating required documentation and
ensuring readiness.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including VAT, tax, and regulatory
submissions.
Support continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting standards.
7. Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare the consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packs, including
management accounts, variance commentary, and performance insights.
Provide the Head of Finance with concise, accurate, and timely reports to support decision-
making.
Assist in developing dashboards and KPI tracking to strengthen financial visibility across the
Group.
8. Team Leadership & Collaboration
Act as the first line of review and guidance for Finance Officers and Administrators.
Provide training, coaching, and feedback to build team capability and efficiency.
Collaborate closely with operational and commercial teams to ensure financial insights are
aligned with business performance.
9. Other Duties
Undertake any additional responsibilities as required by the Head of Finance.
