The right candidate should have adequate experience in managing projects (preferably implementation projects) and have experience in execution of the phase of project life cycle, as described below:

1. Initiation phase

• Perform business and technical analysis and elicitation of requirements.

• Perform solution engineering; Assist in the definition and development of (payment) products and solutions which meets the business requirements, including documentation of customer journeys (UX and UI) and high-level architectural design.

2. Scoping and Planning

• Create detailed technical documentations including processes which achieve specific technical functionalities

• Define and plan testing strategies which align system integration tests, user acceptance tests (UAT) and pilot tests.

• Communicate and present (via formal presentations) technical documentations of solutions and processes with internal and external customers and stakeholders.

• Elaborate overall project plan and collaborate with assigned team members to elaborate detailed planification of all technical tasks (which aligned with set milestones).

• Lead the meetings and discussions for scoping of technical requirements for any development which needs to be done by third parties (system vendors, contractors, 3rd party software house).

• Assist in the elaboration of network certification plans and ensure alignment and validation of same with all concerned project stakeholders.

3. Execution phase

• Assist and guide technical team members in the execution of the configuration plan, setup test systems and assist in attaining an efficient interoperability between PEX’s systems and other connected systems (host interfaces, core banking systems, VISA/ MasterCard/Union Pay, other national switching systems)

.• Align the progress of the technical progress with set project milestones and ensure that these milestones are met ensuring a timely project revenue

• Monitor and ensure governance procedures are adhered to - ensure UAT signoffs before GO-LIVE phase, pilot signoffs after live pilot testing, project artifacts are documented and securely stored.

4. Monitoring and Control

• Own and update project plans, project documentations and project artifacts. • Lead project steering meetings with client and other stakeholders ensuring that clear and concise information are shared.

• Perform risk management processes on technical tasks whilst ensuring that risks are tracked, discussed and mitigated in a timely manner.

• Execute issue management processes and ensure that all issues are documented and resolved in a timely manner.

• Collaborate with and ensure a fruitful collaboration with other internal departments with focus on setting up efficient cross-departmental processes.

5. Project closure phase

• Provide technical support, guidance and training to the internal and external stakeholders

• Actively participate in production hand-over procedures, presentations and discussions. • Contribute to continuous improvement of the project management framework by documenting lessons learned after each project. The right candidate will have

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information System and/or any related field. • At least 5 years’ experience leading and managing projects (preferably project implementation projects based on PMBOK). A CAPM or PMP will be a big advantage.

• Fundamental understanding of SQL, APIs, Jasper iReport developer, Postman, SOAPUI and other technical tools.

• Approximately 3 years of experience in an IT, cards or payment industry

• Proven experience in business analysis, technical solution engineering, product management, technical project management, requirements elicitation and in execution of technical business processes.

• A self-motivated, adaptable and a good communicator who has a learning mindset and wants to acquire more knowledge in the card processing, project management and payment industry.

• Proven project leadership skills with the ability to guide and collaborate assigned team members to execute projects

• Proven team leadership skills to lead, motivate and grow together the assigned project team. 

•A team player who can work in close collaboration with the project managers, other collaborators and the Executive Projects to achieve quality, timely, scope -aligned and cost-effective project management and delivery.

• Very fluent in French and English, both spoken and written

.• Ability to travel as and when required.

The title may be extended to Senior Project Manager based on the experience level of the candidate
