Reporting to the Head of Facilities, the job incumbent will bear the responsibility for smooth running of the maintenance department.
What you will be doing:
• Coordinate with all the departments of the hospital – clinical and administrative for smooth operation of the building services equipment
• Ensure and supervise correct installation and commissioning protocols in the initial testing and evaluation of all future engineering equipment installations in the hospital
• Supervise the proper scheduling, implementation, and documentation of preventive maintenance of the engineering services equipment
• Arrange for outside contract for the repair and maintenance of specialized equipment
• Ensure that all pertinent blue prints, specifications and operating service manuals for all equipment and parts are available
• Responsible to co-ordinate for the approval, clearance, renewal from the statutory bodies
• Responsible for the preparation and completion of maintenance operating budgets
• Ensure that the parameters of all equipment are being recorded properly and the stock registers are maintained.
• Ensure that all Health & Safety procedures are being respected for any task assigned
• Design and implement internal procedures for the department and ensure adherence to quality standards.
What are we looking for?
• BEng degree or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years working experience in a managerial position in one or more of the following areas: Laboratories, Healthcare, Private Practices or Facilities
• Technical service experience with medical equipment
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service skills and good communication skills Time Management
• Proven Time management & Delegation skills and ability to work under pressure
