As an Accounts Clerk, you will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the finance team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Clerk to join our dynamic finance team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Transactions & Record-Keeping

  • Issue accurate customer invoices and apply payments.

  • Monitor receivables and follow up on overdue accounts.

  • Reconcile ledgers and resolve payment discrepancies.

  • Prepare aging reports and assist with credit control.

  • Support month-end closing and ensure policy compliance.

  • Handle cashiering tasks when needed.

Compliance & Auditing

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

  • Support internal/external audits with accurate documentation.

  • Maintain confidentiality of financial data.

Administrative Support

  • Assist with financial reporting and maintain organized records.

  • Provide day-to-day admin support to the finance team.

Additional Tasks

  • Participate in inventory control and stock audits.

  • Send invoices to relevant departments.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Ideal for someone detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • At least an ACCA Level 1 or Higher School Certificate with more than 3 years of experience
  • At least one (1) year experience in similar capacity
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage).
Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and organizational skills.

Working Conditions:

Located in Port Louis
Mon to Fri: 08h30 - 17h,
Sat: 08h30 > 13h.
May be required to do overtime from time to time.
