Weighbridge Clerk

The job incumbent shall be responsible to control weigh-bridge operations and record the weight of all trucks and lorries coming in and going out before/after transportation of products.

Job Description:

The job incumbent shall be responsible to control weigh-bridge operations and record the weight of all trucks and lorries coming in and going out before/after transportation of products. He/She shall issue weighing tickets for all weighbridge operations and hands weighing tickets to concerned parties.

Responsibilities:

• To oversee all operations pertaining to the weighbridge                                                                                   
• To weigh all incoming and outgoing delivery vehicles                                                         
• To keep records (both soft and hard copies) pertaining to your duties and responsibilities and in accordance with the actual Quality System and procedures in place in the organisation.                                                                                                                        
• To ensure that all records kept are up to date and ready to be communicated                                                                                                         
• To compile samples and forward same to the laboratory                                                              
• To place seals on bulk trucks after loading                                                     
• To check mailbox of incoming bulk trucks                                                                          

Profile of the Ideal Candidates

• A minimum of School Certificate or Higher School Certificate
• At least 1 year of working experience in a similar field
• Good communication skills
• Ready to work on a shift system and odd hours
