Warehouse & Delivery Manager

Position Overview In the role of Warehouse & Delivery Manager, your responsibilities will include supervising all facets of our warehouse operations and ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of our products to customers throughout Mauritius.

Key Responsibilities

 Warehouse Management

• Develop and implement warehouse procedures, including receiving, storing, and dispatching consumer electronics products.
• Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and periodic audits.
• Optimize warehouse layout and storage systems for maximum efficiency and productivity.
• Establish and enforce safety protocols to create a safe working environment.

 Delivery Management

• Develop and implement strategies and processes to efficiently manage and monitor the delivery function.
• Oversee and manage a team of delivery drivers and helpers, ensuring they adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Oversee the planning of the delivery routes and schedules to ensure timely and accurate product deliveries.
• Ensure that deliveries are completed within the specified timeframe (48h delivery)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as sales to ensure smooth and efficient delivery operations.
• Train and onboard new delivery drivers and helpers, providing them with the necessary guidance and resources to carry out their responsibilities effectively.
• Continuously evaluate delivery performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Monitor customer satisfaction levels by collecting feedback and resolving any delivery-related complaints or issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure the proper loading, unloading, inspection, and operation of delivery vehicles, maintaining compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports related to deliveries, including tracking delivery performance and analyzing data to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.

 Team Leadership

• Lead and develop a team of warehouse and delivery staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
• Set clear goals and objectives for the team, monitoring their performance and providing support as needed.
• Foster a positive work culture, promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Participate in the selection and recruitment process

• Plan work rotation, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results

 Process Optimization:

• Identify areas for process improvement within the logistics operations, implementing best practices and efficiency-enhancing measures.
• Utilize data and analytics to analyze logistics performance metrics, identify trends, and drive operational improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, sales, and finance, to optimize end-to-end supply chain processes.

Finance

• Prepare the annual budget and monitor expenditures
• Produce reports and statistics regularly

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Logistics Manager or similar role, preferably in the consumer electronics industry.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and delivery management systems.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in using logistics and inventory management software.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and leverage data to drive process improvements.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
