HealthActiv is presently looking for a Warehouse Assistant who will assist the Team Lead in fulfilling the day-to-day activities and ensuring the quality of the team’s work. The incumbent will assist in training new recruits and oversee the quality of goods and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate and coordinate among the different units of the warehouse (Inbound/Outbound/Inventory and Security/Distribution) to optimise resources and achieve operational KPIs.
- Ensure cleanliness, tidiness, as well as safety of work environment and equipment.
- Check the correct quantity and type of goods received.
- Move the goods to their respective area in the warehouse, either manually or using mechanical handling equipment.
- Label and scan goods for record, as well as load and wrap stock on pallets.
- Systematically enter data of incoming goods in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Prepare customer orders for delivery in a timely manner, according to set standards.
- Check each picked item for conformity, such as batch number and expiry date.
- Ascertain that picking bins are replenished in a timely manner, as per protocol.
- Monitor and maintain stock accuracy by ensuring management system.
- Ensure all stock movements are recorded to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure proper price tagging, movement and security of stocks within the warehouse.
- Inspect inventory variances and damages, and complete daily logs into inventory.
- Ensure proper staffing, planning of routes and reporting.
- Maintain good working conditions of delivery vehicles.
- Prepare and provide distribution listings, as well as control loading and unloading of delivery vans.
- Assist the Warehouse Team Lead/Officer in the preparation of required reports.
Job Requirements:
- School Certificate or any equivalent qualifications.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong team spirit.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent record-keeping skills.
- Customer service mindset.
