Welcoming and seating guests, taking guest orders, communicating them effectively to the kitchen and in addition, memorizing the menu and offering recommendations to upsell appetizers, desserts, or drinks.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome & accompany guests to their tables
- Present menu card to guests and answer to any queries they may have
- Inform guests of special events at the hotel
- Ensure guests are satisfied with their orders and take immediate action in case of complaints
- Take food and beverages orders and enter same onto the POS system
- Communicate F&B orders to kitchen associates
- Clean guests' tables as and when required
- Make inventory of stock service supplies such as water, coffee, tea and linen
- Handling of monetary transactions
EXPERIENCE
- SC / HSC or NC3 Restaurant & Bar from Hotel School
- Atleast 2 years experience in a similar position in a 5 Star Luxury Resort
- Knowledge of Micros system
- Excellent communication skills
- Pleasant & outgoing personality
- Ready to work odd hours / Sundays / Public Holidays
