Trainee – Safety and Health

As a trainee health and safety the responsibility involves supporting the implementation and administration of safety protocols within the Bank.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The key responsibilities are not limited to the following:

  •  Implementing and enforcing safety rules and regulations as per OSHA
  • Perform general administrative support functions including archiving and document controls.
  • Ensure that all tasks assigned are attended in a timely manner.
  • Carry out safety trainings, toolbox talk and induction for new joiners
  • Conduct and organize various safety promotional activities such as fire drills, safety committees, blood donation, safety and health week
  • Safety inspection of Business Centres and other sites.
  • Carry out risk assessments to enhance safety in the workplace
  • Recording and reporting of safety related activities.
  • Investigate into accidents and dangerous occurrences and propose of corrective actions
  • Prepare monthly report.
  • Any other cognate duties

PREREQUISITES:

  • Minimum HSC qualification. Degree in Occupational Safety & Health Management or any relevant field, acceptable to the bank would be an advantage.

 SKILLS:

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to carry out investigations
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
  • Team player with good working attitude.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Very good written and oral communication skills in English
