We are looking for a Trainee Finance Controls to join MEDINE GROUP | Support Services.
Duties & responsibilities:
1. Financial Control Support
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of financial control processes.
- Assist in physical inventories across Medine BU’s.
- Support Finance Specialist - Controls and help ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
2. Reporting and Documentation
- Help prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for review.
- Maintain and update financial records and databases, ensuring they reflect current transactions and balances.
3. Process Improvement
- Identify and suggest improvements to internal processes for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
- Work closely with Finance Specialist - Controls to implement best practices in financial control procedures.
- Support the automation and streamlining of financial control functions, where applicable.
4. Data Analysis & Reconciliation
- Assist with the analysis of financial data to identify discrepancies, trends and opportunities for cost savings.
- Collaborate with different departments to clarify financial data and resolve any issues.
5. Compliance and Risk Management
- Monitor financial transactions and flag any irregularities or potential risks.
- Assist in the identification and mitigation of financial risks by adhering to company policies and controls.
6. Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with other teams (e.g, accounting, procurement, operations) to ensure smooth coordination of financial processes.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations for meetings.
- Communicate findings and issues to Finance Specialists - Controls in a clear and concise manner.
CANDIDATE’S PROFILE
Qualifications Required:
- Higher School Certificate or Equivalent
Key competences (Knowledge, Skills, Attitudes, Behaviours):
- Knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
- Knowledge of related computer applications.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Good planning and organizing skills.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Attention to details, and ability to be multi-task in the finance department.
- Cooperative and willing to assist others.
- Good communication and coordination with colleagues.
