Our client, a well-established company, providing business solutions to clients worldwide, is seeking to recruit experienced candidate for the post of Trading Officer.

 

The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance by reviewing securities transactions and adhering to SEM/CDS and international market rules.Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
  • Support client acquisition through referrals, networks, and proactive outreach.
  • Nurture and grow a portfolio of local and international clients by increasing trading activity, revenues per client, and cross-selling services (investment advisory, funds distribution, unlisted securities).
  • Identify opportunities and develop channels for the purchase and sale of securities and other financial instruments.
  • Execute end-to-end trade processes: receive, input, execute, amend, cancel, and allocate orders for listed and unlisted securities while maintaining accurate CRM records.
  • Monitor and report on trading operations, including order management, settlement, banking, accounting, and debtor management.
  • Coordinate securities processing and settlements (T+1 to T+3), ensuring timely payments and transaction clearing.
  • Communicate daily trading information to key stakeholders and liaise with back office teams.
  • Advise clients on trade executions, share transfers, successions, donations, portfolio reorganisations, and applicable market rules.
  • Prepare and dispatch contract notes and manage client cash transfers for international trade settlements.
Profile:

  • Degree in Economics, Finance, Accountancy, or a related field (or equivalent qualification).
  • Minimum 1 year's experience in financial services, with exposure to stockbroking, wealth management, global business, or treasury operations.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and proactively engage prospects via phone and meetings.
  • Results-driven with strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise to meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and strong compliance awareness.
  • IT proficient with the ability to work across trading and CRM systems.
  • Fluent in English and French.
