The Telephone Operator is responsible for professionally answering and directing all incoming calls, handling guest or client inquiries, and providing prompt and courteous service.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming telephone calls promptly and professionally.

  • Direct calls to appropriate departments or individuals.

  • Handle wake-up call requests (if applicable).

  • Provide general information to callers regarding services, facilities, and directions.

  • Record and relay messages accurately to the appropriate recipients.

  • Monitor emergency lines and immediately escalate urgent situations.

  • Assist in handling guest or client requests and complaints courteously.

  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.

  • Update and maintain internal contact lists and phone directories.

  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • NC3 in Front Office or an equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Telephone Operator or in a related customer service role.
  • Strong communication skills in both English and French.
  • A positive team player with a cooperative and professional attitude.
