Technical Helper – Cernol Ltd

We are looking for a motivated Technical Helper to support our senior technicians.

The ideal candidate will be involved in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of chemical dosing pumps and controllers for industrial washers, dishwashers, and housekeeping systems in hotels, hospitals, food & beverages, and industrial laundries.

Candidate Profile

Minimum Requirements (Must-Haves):

• Trade Certificate: NC3/NTC3 in Electrical Installation and NC2/NTC2 in Plumbing/Pipefitting
• Valid manual driving licence and willingness to travel across the island
• HSE Awareness: Ability to read MSDS, correct use of PPE, chemical handling & spill basics
• Comfortable with working at height (ladders, elevated areas)
• Flexibility for off-hours call-outs/rotations when required by hotel operations

Desirable Skills (Nice-to-Haves):

• Experience with peristaltic/diaphragm dosing pumps, injectors, venturis, foot valves, and calibration
• Familiarity with pH/ORP/conductivity probes and control signals (relay, dry-contact, 4–20 mA)
• Basic soldering, crimping, enclosure mounting, trunking/conduit work
• Background in hotel, healthcare, or laundry equipment (washer-extractors, tunnel washers, warewashers)

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians to:
• Mount pumps/controllers, run power and signal cabling, connect injection fittings to process lines
• Calibrate peristaltic pumps (ml/min measurement), and complete commissioning documentation
• Perform start-up checks: priming, bleeding, dosage settings, logging of readings
• Carry out preventive maintenance (tubing replacement, valve/strainer checks, leak inspections, probe cleaning)
• Ensure HSE compliance and proper use of tools, chemicals, and safety procedures at all times
