Team Leader – Credit Underwriting

Job Purpose:

We are looking for a Team Leader – Credit Underwriting to drive accurate credit assessments, mitigate lending risks, and provide strategic insights that shape business decisions. In this role, you will foster team development, champion compliance, and deliver exceptional customer experiences—all while influencing the future direction of our operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Credit Underwriting team to achieve business objectives.
• Analyse and assess credit applications, compute financial ratios, and evaluate creditworthiness.
• Conduct thorough due diligence and prepare comprehensive credit reports for decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
• Communicate effectively through clear reports and presentations to stakeholders.
• Deliver outstanding customer experience by meeting SLAs and providing timely updates.
• Drive continuous improvement in the quality and accuracy of credit assessments.
• Support leadership in strategy formulation and performance tracking.
• Manage administrative tasks including reporting, filing, and data storage.
• Lead change initiatives, foster innovation, and influence future directions.
• Coach, motivate, and manage team performance to maintain high engagement and productivity.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in credit underwriting with proven leadership skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (including pivot tables and macros).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• In-depth knowledge of Cim Finance products and services.
