This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to take ownership of client portfolio management, lead a dedicated team, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality accounting and tax compliance services to a global client base.
Reporting to the Client Accounts Manager, the Team Leader will oversee a team of client accountants responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and delivering exceptional service to clients. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise, proven leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced international environment.
Oversee and manage client accounting portfolios, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting on internal systems and accounting platforms.
Support the Client Accounts Manager with regular reporting, planning, and ad-hoc operational tasks.
Lead by example and act as a key resource for system training and optimization.
Manage and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and cross-selling of services.
Coordinate and participate in client meetings, ensuring client satisfaction and proactive financial support.
Monitor team performance and drive achievement of departmental targets.
Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to clients to support their business objectives.
Stay informed of industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory updates, ensuring team compliance and awareness.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders across departments.
Address client queries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5–7 years of experience in an accounting role within a management or corporate services company.
Demonstrated experience managing and developing a team.
Strong understanding of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent financial analysis, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Proficiency in accounting software (OneViewPoint, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA Level 3 completed) will be an advantage.
