Maintain and configure physical servers from various vendors including HPE, IBM and Cisco. Set up and manage virtualization environments. using platforms like VMware and Hyper-V. Install and configure operating systems such as Windows and Linux.

 

System Administrator Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and configure physical servers from various vendors including HPE, IBM and Cisco.
  • Set up and manage virtualization environments. using platforms like VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Install and configure operating systems such as Windows and Linux.
  • Perform updates on operating systems and firmware.
  • Investigate, diagnose and solve system’s performance.
  • Administer backup system.
  • Coordinate and schedule work with service providers.
  • Draft and maintain detailed technical documentation to support effective systems administration.
  • Actively participate in project meetings and team collaborations.
  • Maintain ongoing technology watch to stay ahead of system and infrastructure evolution.

 

Your skills & expertise:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in system and network administration roles.
  • Proficient with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, , endpoint security, and Office 365 administration.
  • Experience in virtualization platforms.
  • Experience supporting multiple stakeholders across IT and business functions
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to handle multiple tasks across parallel projects
  • Ability to understand and communicate between technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is a plus but not mandatory
  • Familiarity with ITIL, ISO 27001, or other IT governance standards is a plus but not mandatory
