System Administrator Responsibilities:
- Maintain and configure physical servers from various vendors including HPE, IBM and Cisco.
- Set up and manage virtualization environments. using platforms like VMware and Hyper-V.
- Install and configure operating systems such as Windows and Linux.
- Perform updates on operating systems and firmware.
- Investigate, diagnose and solve system’s performance.
- Administer backup system.
- Coordinate and schedule work with service providers.
- Draft and maintain detailed technical documentation to support effective systems administration.
- Actively participate in project meetings and team collaborations.
- Maintain ongoing technology watch to stay ahead of system and infrastructure evolution.
Your skills & expertise:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of experience in system and network administration roles.
- Proficient with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, , endpoint security, and Office 365 administration.
- Experience in virtualization platforms.
- Experience supporting multiple stakeholders across IT and business functions
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to handle multiple tasks across parallel projects
- Ability to understand and communicate between technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is a plus but not mandatory
- Familiarity with ITIL, ISO 27001, or other IT governance standards is a plus but not mandatory
