Job Purpose
The job incumbent will be required to efficiently manage the Mobile Phones (HHP) department to ensure that repairs are done to the highest standards.
Main Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, monitor and optimize the operations of Hand Held Phones (HHP) department
- Prioritize and delegate adequate resources to identified tasks/repairs to ensure high level of customer satisfaction
- Ensure that repairs are done to the desired standard
- Be available to discuss and resolve technical issues with other technical staff as necessary
- Ensure that appropriate spare parts are ordered within set deadlines and maintain the minimum required quantities
- Closely monitor the ageing of spare parts and the pass through time of finished products
- Keep abreast of key technical developments and innovations within the industry and encouraging team members to do same
- Act as a technical mentor/coach to the team of technicians
- Candidate must possess at least a Vocational Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience in this field of activity
- Strong communication, leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to manage and organize a team of technical and service staff
- Able to travel overseas for short periods of time
- Holder of a valid driving license
