Our client is seeking to recruit a Supervisor Client Accountant who will report to the Manager Business Solutions and Private Clients. The incumbent will assist the Manager Business Solutions and Private Clients in contributing to the growth within the division.
Responsibilities:
- Understand the client overall business and structure.
- Monitoring client affairs in line with the business plan.
- Review to ensure that Companies’ financial statements are prepared and filed within the statutory deadline.
- Review to ensure that Companies’ tax computation and Income tax return are prepared and filed within the statutory deadline.
- Adhering to the procedure’s manual.
- Review and ensure that all statutory deadlines (VAT, TDS, PAYE, CSG, PRGF) and all other statutory deadlines are met.
- Review to ensure that clients accounting records are complete, accurate and updated.
- Review and ensure that all FSC surveys are completed appropriately and submitted within set deadlines (as communicated by the Manager).
- Ensure that Companies’ financial statements under your responsibility are prepared and filed within the statutory deadline.
- Ensure that Companies’ tax computation and Income tax return under your responsibility are prepared and filed within the statutory deadline.
- Ensure that clients accounting records under your responsibility are complete, accurate and updated.
- Ensure that client accounting file are up to date and all supporting documents received from client are filed properly.
- Ensure that timesheets are completed by the deadline set by the Manager.
- To achieve a minimum of 80% chargeable time every week.
- Day to day management of client affairs in relation to accounting matters.
Client Service:
- Understand the client’s accounting queries.
- Dealing with auditors, banks for audit confirmation and other intermediaries for letter of confirmations.
- Dealing with clients and lead meetings with clients.
- Dealing with client complaints.
- File all statutory obligations with the relevant authorities within set deadline.
- Request for all information with regards to the preparation of Financial Statement, VAT, TDS, PAYE at the beginning of the month.
- Review all written resolutions to ensure that all transactions are properly recorded in the financial statements.
- Read all agreements and understand transaction being undertaken.
- Always go the extra mile to help the client.
Profile:
- ACCA partly/fully qualified.
- Relevant experience.
- Fluent in oral and written English and French.
- Dynamic, committed and proactive.
- Able to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
- Good team player, with strong customer service drive.
