Constance Belle Mare Plage, a luxurious resort in Mauritius, is seeking an organised and efficient Storekeeper to join our operations team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing our resort's inventory and ensuring smooth supply chain operations.
Duties & Responsibilites
- Oversee and maintain accurate inventory records for all resort supplies and equipment
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming goods, ensuring proper handling and storage procedures are followed
- Process requisitions and distribute supplies to various departments within the resort
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies
- Collaborate with purchasing department to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages
- Implement and maintain an organised storage system for easy retrieval of items
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the storeroom
- Prepare and submit regular reports on stock levels, usage patterns, and any issues
- Assist in identifying slow-moving or obsolete inventory items
- Participate in annual inventory audits and support external auditors as required
Qualifications
- Proven experience in storekeeping or warehouse management, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Proficiency in using inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail
- Basic accounting skills for inventory valuation and reporting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Physical fitness to handle lifting and moving of supplies
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to storage and handling of goods
- Diploma in logistics or supply chain management is desirable but not essential
- Familiarity with hospitality industry supply chain management is an advantage
- Ability to adapt to working in a tropical resort environment
