Winners, the leading supermarket chain in Mauritius, is looking for a Storekeeper who will support the efficient operation of our store's reception and inventory management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to ordering and delivery schedules, organizing reception activities accordingly.
Coordinate lorry arrivals in the loading bay following guidelines for fresh and dry products.
Maintain an updated logbook of supplier arrival times for reference and scrutiny.
Ensure all reception tools, including mobile devices, temperature probes, and weighing scales, are in working order.
Verify documents and ensure accurate quantities received as per purchase orders and supplier invoices.
Conduct quality checks, including expiry date verification and temperature monitoring for perishable goods.
Report disputes or anomalies regarding quantity or quality to the Store Team Leader or management immediately.
Facilitate goods returns during supplier deliveries according to established procedures.
Allocate proper space for group order buying, promotional bulk purchases, and other inventory needs.
Maintain clear aisles and ensure fire extinguishers remain accessible.
School Certificate or any other equivalent qualifications.
A minimum of 1 years of experience in a similar position
Knowledge of ERP systems is an advantage
Experience in the retail sector will constitute an advantage
Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in product reception, quality checks, and inventory management
Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle delivery schedules, reception tasks, and team rosters
Customer focus to maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked store environment
Ability to work collaboratively with various teams
Ability to work under pressure.
