Are you a motivated and detail-oriented professional with a passion for retail operations?
QBL is looking for a Store Supervisor to join our team and take charge of day-to-day store activities while ensuring exceptional customer service and efficient stock management.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision & Team Management
- Lead, supervise, and support storekeepers across all operational sites or departments.
- Monitor daily activities including receiving, storing, issuing, and recording materials and equipment.
- Train and coach storekeepers on inventory procedures, documentation, FIFO/FEFO, and safety.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure consistency and alignment to company standards.
Inventory & Stock Control
- Ensure proper inventory management of raw materials, spare parts, consumables, and equipment.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement for replenishment to avoid stock-outs.
- Enforce stock rotation principles (FIFO/FEFO) to minimise obsolescence and wastage.
- Ensure near-expiry or damaged items are promptly flagged and escalated.
Compliance & Procedures
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, hygiene, safety, and housekeeping standards in all stores.
- Support internal and external audits by ensuring records and processes are in order.
- Promote and monitor compliance with food safety, security, and occupational safety practices.
System & Documentation
- Ensure proper documentation for all inventory transactions (receipts, issues, transfers).
- Validate that ERP/system entries are timely and accurate across all locations.
- Maintain accurate bin card systems and perform regular cycle counts.
Process Improvement
- Identify gaps in processes and propose improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
- Standardise storekeeping procedures across stores to streamline operations.
- Assist in developing SOPs and training materials for the storekeeping function.
What We are Looking For:
- Minimum of a School Certificate or Higner School Certificate or a Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in store or warehouse operations.
- Solid understanding of inventory management systems, including both manual and ERP-based processes.
- Familiarity with food safety, health & safety, and material handling best practices.
