Security Guard

Job Purpose: To ensure the safety and security of the premises, employees, visitors, and assets by monitoring and controlling access, patrolling the area, and responding to incidents in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of premises.

• Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.

• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.

• Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.

• Contact police, fire, or emergency services in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.

• Circulate among visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and protect property.

• Escort individuals off the premises as required.

• Ensure compliance with company security policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a security guard or similar position preferred.

• Good understanding of public safety and security procedures/protocols.

• Surveillance skills and detail orientation.

• Ability to work in a team and remain calm under pressure.

• Physical fitness and ability to stand for long periods or patrol large areas.
