Store Operations Intern

The intern will support the Store Supervisor in both operational and on-site activities. This role combines hands-on store operations with basic reporting and coordination tasks, offering exposure to both the warehouse and the construction site environment.

 

Duration: 3 months 

Key duties:

  • Assist in preparing and organising customer and site orders
  • Help with stock management and replenishment (receiving, checking, and arranging materials)
  • Ensure proper handling, labelling, and storage of products and equipment
  • Support the coordination of deliveries to construction sites
  • Be in direct contact with site teams, understand their needs, and ensure quick responses
  • Maintain good relationships with suppliers to guarantee smooth material flow and service quality
  • Occasionally support on-site sales and ensure client satisfaction on the field
  • Track daily activities such as orders, stock levels, and deliveries
  • Prepare simple operational reports and share feedback with the Store Supervisor
  • Participate in identifying improvement opportunities in store processes

 

Profile required

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (or currently studying) in Logistics, Business Administration, Management, or a related field
  • Location: Preferably in the the region of Plaine Wilhems, Port-Louis, Albion, Bambous, Cascavelle.
  • Skills:
  1. Basic knowledge of store or warehouse operations
  2. Comfortable with manual and operational tasks (handling, stock control, etc.)
  3. Good understanding of organisation and prioritisation
  4. Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  5. Proactive, reliable, and eager to learn
  6. Basic proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets for simple reports
  • Languages: Fluent in French and English
