The Store Clerk/Driver will oversee and facilitate the supply chain operations of our company. He will be the one to provide assistance in processes to achieve the effective distribution of goods. The goal is to ensure the smooth operations of a variety of channels aiming for maximum efficiency.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

The main duties and responsibilities of a Store Clerk/Driver or include, but are not limited to:

  • Handling of incoming and outgoing packages.
  • Checking of goods from shipment, ensuring that the correct amount, type and state of stock received.
  • Loading, unloading, preparing, inspecting and dispatching of products/accessories to our retail outlets in a timely manner at different locations by following routes and time schedule.
  • Assisting other store staff in retrieving specified merchandise from storage as per the delivery orders.
  • Ensuring that all merchandise is properly secured in the delivery vehicles to prevent damage during transit.
  • Preparing merchandise for delivery by packaging and labelling them accordingly.
  • Unpacking items, organizing merchandise, and stacking them on shelves and racks in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Ensuring proper monthly storage count, reporting, and maintaining accurate records of all incoming and outgoing merchandise.
  • Keep track of inbound and outbound goods especially goods in transit until they are delivered.
  • Utilising store lift equipment to load and unload merchandise as well as move, lift, or stack merchandise as needed.
  • Making use of the POS software to check products to be delivered to locations.
  • Daily reporting and inputting of metrics into store systems.
  • Purchasing of accessories.
  • Preparing gift wraps for clients.
  • Checking and reporting on damage furniture, fittings, and goods.
  • Purchasing and delivering of utility materials to the company’s apartments.
  • Cater for daily transport for staff.
  • Participate in stock-take in different storage and various outlets.
  • Ensure light maintenance at the workplace.
  • Ensure that the facility remains clean, sanitary, and well-organized, at all times.
  • Coordination with sub-contractors for maintenance/fixing issues at the office, the locations, and apartments.
  • Ensure proper car maintenance (e.g., cleaning and servicing).
  • Perform any other cognate duties that may from time to time be required which are appropriate to the role and business requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Computer literate
  • Proven 2 years of work experience in store management and delivery
  • Exposure to the warehouse and logistics industry
  • Sound knowledge of road safety regulations
  • Excellent ability to drive with no prior violations.
  • Good communication skills, written & spoken (English & French)
  • Strong time management, organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to handle fragile stock with ease
  • Clean and valid driving license is compulsory
  • Clean and valid certificate of character is compulsory
  • Physically fit and mobile
  • Good team player
  • Proactive, Punctual, Reliable, Honest

 

Working Days /Hours

  • Monday to Saturday – Shift System
  • Available to work on Sundays in peak seasons or If needed for any urgent tasks
  • Available to work on Public Holidays
  • Available to work after normal business hours, during weekends, on public holidays, during peak season whenever the Company’s exigencies so require.
  • Available to work at various outlets owned by the Company.
  • Available on call and be at the office or the outlets whenever the Company’s exigencies so required.
