JOB PURPOSE : To administer all Microsoft Windows/VMWare platforms and related services availability, performance, security and competency to ensure Service Quality and end user satisfaction

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Microsoft Server Administration
- Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows/VMWare operating systems, to ensure that all requests and incidents are documented on HP Service Manager and Request Fulfilment modules.
- Maintain, configure and troubleshoot Microsoft Active Directory to integrate business applications, and facilitate CIB’s employees’ day to day work.
- Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft/VMWare -based application servers and different features (AD, DFS, DNS, DHCP, IIS).
- Perform ongoing performance monitoring and resources utilization analysis to ensure that existing resources are utilized efficiently.
- Responsible for administration, management and troubleshooting all Virtual Desktop and Applications solution infrastructure serving the different corporate users & departments
- Plan, arrange and perform operating systems/software upgrades and patching, abiding by Change Management cycle.
- Conduct health checks, risk assessments for the Microsoft Windows/ VMWare based platform and services and, to ensure that the application is working properly and problem free.
- Support the corporate strategy for implementing security baseline and apply PCI recommendation.
- Ensure Microsoft based platforms and services’ availability in Disaster recovery situations.
- Support in troubleshooting of Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL Server with SQL DB Administrator whenever needed.
- Provide support for users, IT vendors, and other administrators during problems troubleshooting, projects, and implementations within scope.
- Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation and provide continuous support to resolve critical issues on a 24/7 basis to maximize availability for the corporate business services.
- Participate in writing technical procedures, run books, documentations for Microsoft platform services.
- Follow all relevant department policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
- Follow the day-to-day operations related to own jobs in the IT Infrastructure Management department to ensure continuity of work
- Comply with all relevant regulations, local cyber-security laws, and data protection acts, AML regulations and internal policies and code of conduct in order to maintain sound legal position and mitigate any potential risks
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree of Engineering, Computer science or its equivalent
- Administrator: Minimum 4-5 years of extensive experience in Microsoft administration role
- Senior Administrator: Minimum 4-5 years of extensive experience in Microsoft administration
- Good Knowledge in using the following technologies:
-Microsoft software products: (LDAP, Active Directory, IIS, DFS, TCP/IP, NFS, SAN and Direct Attached Storage, High Performance Networking).
-Storage, Security and Networking concepts
-VMWare: ESXi, vCenter, vMotion and DRS
-Citrix Xen App and Desktop technologies
-Operating systems: Microsoft Windows, Linux o Others: LDAP, TCP/IP, NFS, SAN and Direct Attached Storage, High Performance Networking
