Shop Assistant to serves customers in a store and assists them with completing their purchases. Help out in the store by ensuring the smooth running and proper maintenance of the sales floor.

 

We are looking for Shop Assistant to join our team at Ruisseau Creole

Responsibilities:

  • Take part in training and implement accordingly

  • Keep superior informed about all unusual matters concerning any plans affecting his/her area

  • Ensure product knowledge of items at the boutique

  • Describe product features and details accurately

  • Recommand and display items that match customer’s needs

  • Adapt display as per day theme/festivity

  • Ensure high level of quality services are delivered to guests at all times

  • Handle and monitor of guests complaints and the relevant follow up action required

  • Interact with guests to obtain feedback and suggestions for improvement

  • Establish and maintain continuous and fruitful contacts with customers

  • Answer any query from guests by having a sound knowledge of all items offered for sale

  • Maintain outstanding store condition on visual merchandising standards

  • Help and anticipate guests in their choices

  • Recommend, give advise and guidance on product selection to guests

  • Participate in Eco Standard/Sustainable Responsibility set by the hotel

  • Ensure sales target are met, provide optimum customer service and assist to increase company’s growth and revenue through sales maximization 

  • Promote upselling

  • Make inventory of equipment and material for stock control

  • Report any breakage, defect, loss of operating equipments and accessories to Superior

  • Follow up billing

  • Ensure energy saving (electricity, water)

  • Follow the set procedures for opening and closing the boutique

  • Ensure that the boutique is always clean and tidy

  • Display boutique’s window and arrange items creatively as per standards

  • Prepare a receipt for guests when a sale is closed and record the sale (cash or credit)

  • Prepare cash and credit summary, balance the account and submit all cash, receipts and credit summary to receptionist on a daily basis

  • Ensure that all sale figures are input on the system

  • Ensure sufficient stock of items at all times

  • Make requisitions of items when minimum stock is reached

  • Properly store the items to avoid any wastage

  • Liaise with Superior at Head Office for all orders or any matter arising



Profile: 

  • At least 1 year working experience in a similar position  
  • Computer literacy  
  • Fluent both in English and French
  •
